A special restaurant
At the foot of the Mount Saint Peter in Maastricht, The Netherlands, Bijzonder is situated. ‘Bijzonder’ means special. It is a special place where you can het acquainted with pure and honest products. The special dishes, which embody both health and an enjoyable atmosphere, will surprise you. Breakfast, lunch and bites for the evening are mainly made of a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, seeds, nuts, and — if desired — gluten free grains. The ingredients come, if possible, from local farmers and traders. Everything evolves around purity, honesty and, just as important, a good atmosphere.

Welcome to the Burgundian kitchen of Bijzonder.

A special identity
A restaurant that exclusively works with natural products of course needs a natural corporate identity. The logo is handwritten, personal and unique. The typography is based on an old menu board, on which the letters and numbers are pinned on lines. The whole is covered in little handmade illustrations that visualise Bijzonder. Of course, photography plays a big role in this corporate identity. How else can the delicious dishes of Bijzonder be presented than with colourful photos? The entire corporate identity is printed on natural materials like wood, recycled paper and kraft board. Traditional techniques like foil printing complete this special image.
